This website is developed and maintained under the My Chord Finder name. The same name is used for the tools, lessons, and published contact address.

What you can do here

Use the Guitar Chord Finder to search for chord shapes or identify notes on a fretboard. The Piano Chord Finder shows chord tones and inversions on piano keys.

The Guitar Scales page combines an interactive fretboard with sourced lessons and a step-by-step practice shape. The Chord Progression Generator lets you generate, edit, hear, and share a four-chord progression.

How the tools work

Chord, scale, and progression calculations run in your browser. Playback uses recorded acoustic-guitar and piano samples served by this website. You do not need an account, and the tools do not upload your musical choices.

Results and sources

The guitar diagrams are candidate shapes generated from chord tones and fretboard geometry. They do not promise a particular fingering or that every shape suits every player. Music-theory explanations link to their public references, and instrument sample licensing is listed in Sound credits.
